Announced this week, the all-new Volvo EX90 premium SUV will be officially introduced on November 9th. In the meantime, Volvo provided us with more details on this impressive luxury SUV with a fully electric powertrain which will join the Volvo lineup next year and that will offer groundbreaking safety technologies.
It isn't surprising that the all-new Volvo EX90 will stand out when it comes to safety. After all, Volvo has always been one of the leading automakers when it comes to safety and technological innovations designed to provide enhanced peace of mind to owners. The new electric EX90 will not be any different.
Remarkable safety and driver assistance features in new EX90 luxury electric SUV
Volvo says the new EX90 will have an unprecedented level of safety. That means that it will offer features that keep you safe that have never been seen on another vehicle before. The goal is to help reduce stress, fatigue, and distractions behind the wheel and in the process reduce and eliminate potential collisions that these elements can create. Specifically, Volvo hopes to reduce by 20% accidents that lead to death or serious injury thanks to these safety Innovations found in the EX90.
For starters, the EX90 will feature 16 ultrasonic sensors, 8 cameras, and 5 Radars that can survey everything that is happening around the vehicle. The new LiDAR technology housed in the roof can detect pedestrians at a distance of up to 250 m while also detecting smaller objects that are difficult to see at a distance of 120 m. This will be possible whether it is night or day outside and regardless of the speed you are driving.
Other technologies found inside will provide unprecedented monitoring of the driver and his or her level of attention. The goal is to help detect distractions that can lead to potential collisions.
These impressive Innovations make the new Volvo EX90 one of the most advanced vehicles in the world. That said, these safety technologies will likely find their way across the Volvo lineup in years to come. The ultimate goal is to enhance safety without taking away from the driving experience. Give us a call today to learn more and stay tuned as we make our way towards November 9 for the full reveal of the new Volvo EX90.
